I had the opportunity to meet Melissa at the International Women’s Day Career Crusades event in March 2010, where she was representing the WIE Committee and engaging in conversations with girls and women about careers in engineering. I also joined events organised by Melissa, such as the Purple Boot Cocktail Party and the Movie Night (both fundraising for Breast Cancer WA) and the Women Leading the Way Symposium. All events she organised were very successful and feedback was fantastic! She is a great leader and a team player at all times. Above all, she’s stylish and discrete. She has truly inspired me to join the WIE Committee, where I currently act as Vice Chair and I wish her all the best in her personal and professional life.
